Southern Sweets Bakery started in 1992 when founder Nancy Cole started baking pies from scratch for a local Atlanta Steak House. Years later you can still find these pies along with many other made from scratch desserts in restaurants, coffee houses, hotels, and catering companies throughout the Atlanta Metro area.

In simple terms, a boulangerie is a French bakery whereas a patisserie is a pastry shop. Boulangeries sell everyday items like bread and croissants and you'll find them even in the smallest towns. It's hard to walk down a French street without spotting one, or three! Patisseries, on the other hand, are more specialist.

Difference between Bakery and Confectionery In Bakery, you can get all the baked items including the sweet ones also, whereas, in Confectionary you only get the sugar-rich foods. Confectionary also refers to the sweet food whereas the bakery is the shops that offer you a variety of food items.
